All MCEF Events

MCEF, in collaboration with industry partners and agencies, hosts events throughout the year for students, CTE instructors and directors, contractors, craft trade professional, school CTE and academic counselors, state and local officials, and the general public. These events are aimed at recruitment of quality individuals into the construction and maintenance workforce, image building and awareness of opportunities, and professional development.

Build Your Future Construction Competition

MCEF’s Building Futures Construction Competition invites Mississippi career and technical programs involved in construction and manufacturing trades in grades 9-12 to build projects of their choice using wood or metal.

MCEF is partnering with the University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Construction and Design and Mississippi State University’s Building Construction Science Program to offer two Summer Construction Camps.

Board Meeting Schedule

Find out information for the next board meeting. Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every other month beginning at 12:00 pm at the MCEF Offices.

SkillsUSA/MCEF State Championship

The Mississippi Construction Education Foundation (MCEF), the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), and industry partners are hosting the MCEF SkillsUSA State Championship (construction) competition.

Passport to Careers

Working in partnership with: Mississippi Department of Education, Build Your Future & Industry Partners, The Passport to Careers Expo for 8th grade students will be held in conjunction with the MCEF/SkillsUSA State Championship.

Counselors and Directors Workshop

The MCEF Counselors’ Workshop is designed for K-12 Counselors to explore hands-on building activities with other Counselors and over the course of the day Counselors will build a small structure from start to finish.
