BUILDING FUTURES CAMP
MCEF is partnering with the University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Construction and Design and Mississippi State University’s Building Construction Science Program to offer two Summer Construction Camps.
Maximum participation for each camp is 25 campers from 8th – 12th grades. These students will be divided up into teams and will be assigned to a construction professional and to a MSU/USM student who will serve as camp counselors.
Camps begin on Sunday afternoon and will end with an awards banquet on Thursday afternoon. Camper’s achievements will be highlighted and rewarded during the banquet. Family and friends are invited to attend. Registration fee includes awards banquet lunch for the camper and two additional guests.
Both camps include:
- Working on fun projects guided by construction professionals,
- Learning bout 2D and 3D visualization,
- Campus recreation, such as the pool, athletic venues, movie nights, etc., and
- On-campus housing to experience the life of a student at USM and MSU.
Camp cost is $500 and includes: Cost of camp, t-shirt, housing, meals and equipment. Camp scholarships are available. Interested individuals should contact each school for additional information about scholarships.
